Killington Snow Report Monday March 19

Perfect left/right moguls on Lower Wildfire

Sunny than overcast and a passing shower, 68*, light wind.

What a difference from the last time I skied Killington. The trails that make up Superstar pod, Skyelark, Lower Bittersweet and Superstar are in fine shape and skiing well. Superstar and Lower Skyelark are all bumped up and have some decent mogul lines. I wasn’t really in the hunt for moguls today. I was on teh hunt for smooth corn. I did find some on skiers right of Needles Eye, but for the most part with these hight temps, moguls were the norm.

I then  headed over to Bear Claw/Lower Wildfire. It was teh best of both world over there. Nice spring, corn snow on Bear Claw and awesome moguls on Lower wildfire. Perfect left/rights that went the distance. OL looked pretty good, but the traverse to get to it from Wildfire was melted out and I didn’t feel like walking over for it.

Things are melting quick, but the main late season snowmaking trails are holding strong. Hope you had a nice weekend up here and hope y’all come back next weekend.

Just in case you haven’t heard, we’re in the midst of a store wide sale. Here’s the details:

Upper Skyeburst met its maker today :(

Jonathan Celauro Jonathan Celauro started skiing when he was four and still hasn't quite figured it out yet. After college, he moved to Killington and now 16 yrs later, each comprised of 100+ day ski seasons, he's still trying to grasp the whole skiing concept. At this point he imagines his best option is to just go with the flow. "I still find myself dreaming of big mountain lines and deep powder snow." J.C. Shop Our Online Store
