Killington Snow Report Sunday March 25 **Best mogul day of the year**

Perfect tight left-right moguls on Lower Skyelark

Posting via laptop from Superstar parking lot. Overcast with an occasional peek of sun, 49* light wind @1:00

Kind of a dreary day. Waited till 12:30 before heading up here. Superstar lower, middle and Skyelark>Bittersweet were groomed. Snowcats filled in all the runouts and accesses making everything connected. looks like they took snow from the “snowcap” sitting on top of the headwall to access Skyelark and also took snow from that pile they built in front of the Roaring Brook umbrella bar to create an access coming from Lower Skyelark and Lower Bitter making everthing snow connected. The groomed terrain skied like deep sugar snow. All the action today was skiers right of Lower SS and Lower Skyelark which skied primo today. Great lines that went the whole length. Perfect left-rights that weren’t too deep, were nice and rounded and went the distance. Perfect moguls!

I didn’t ski at bear, but I was told that OL skied well with really nice mogul lines, but the walk required to get to it was starting to become a pain. I heard that Lower Wildfire was skiing really well too with really nice mogul lines as well. Like here on the Superstar side, the crowds were minimal. Superstar side had no one. It was like a midweek day. Maybe everyone was skiing the Bear side as today was its last operational day of the season. From here on out  it’s Superstar chair until seasons close.

It looks like winter is going to return with a vengance the next few days and stick around with below normal temps for the rest of this week. I would have to imagine that Superstar and Skyelark>Bittersweet will be groomed head-to-toe daily this week. I really hope that a groomer doesn’t touch Lower Skyelark as it is skiing well. I’d wait for another spring day for those bumps to soften rather than starting from scratch. Either way, there will be groomer skiing, it might be sugar snow, so I suggest bringing wider skis and have fun on Superstar. Hope you had a nice weekend and you’re all not done skiing yet!

Jonathan Celauro Jonathan Celauro started skiing when he was four and still hasn't quite figured it out yet. After college, he moved to Killington and now 16 yrs later, each comprised of 100+ day ski seasons, he's still trying to grasp the whole skiing concept. At this point he imagines his best option is to just go with the flow. "I still find myself dreaming of big mountain lines and deep powder snow." J.C. Shop Our Online Store

It was nice making turns with you Jonathan. Lower skylark was definitely my ROTD although middle sup wasn’t bad either. I know why I always listen to you guys at the basin about skis…cuz you ski the same stuff I like to ski. Keep doing the good stuff, pray for colder weather, and my best to the pooches and the fam.
