Killington Snow Report Thursday March 22

Upper Skyelark

Exact repeat of yesterday weather wise. Maybe a touch cooler. Bluebird skies, 70*, no wind at 12:15

Another great day here on the snow beach known as Killington. Basically at this point it’s either the Superstar trail pod of anything off of the Bear chair with the two areas being connected via shuttle. I skied off the Superstar chair today and the snow was great, albeit going fast, but great nonetheless. I didn’t ski moguls on Superstar or Lower Skyelark today, but rather  corn and mushed out snow on Bittersweet or Skyelark>Lower Bitter on big ol’ powder skis today. They are so key in heavy snow as they just surf right up on it. I figured there will be time to ski moguls later, so get the corn and mushed out snow now.

I heard that the bear side skied very well with with light crowds featuring smooth corn snow and nice rounded moguls with shallow troughs. Sounds good to me!

So here’s the lowdown. There isn’t a ton of snow here, but what is here is skiing well. Come up and get your fix before Mother Nature has her way

Jonathan Celauro Jonathan Celauro started skiing when he was four and still hasn't quite figured it out yet. After college, he moved to Killington and now 16 yrs later, each comprised of 100+ day ski seasons, he's still trying to grasp the whole skiing concept. At this point he imagines his best option is to just go with the flow. "I still find myself dreaming of big mountain lines and deep powder snow." J.C. Shop Our Online Store
