Killington Snow Report Wednesday March 21

Looking up at Lower SS

Complete Bluebird, 72*, calm wind at 11:50. A perfect  mid- June day..

Well, mother nature is taking her toll on the snowpack. Killington just sent an email that tomorrow through the weekend operations will be Superstar Chair and the Bear chair with a shuttle connecting the two. There’s a decent amount of snow on Bear. As of 2pm, Bearclaw> Wildfire and Bearclaw>Anti Venom>Lower Skyeburst have continuous snow coverage through out. OL had a breach in towards the top (just below Chute and above Fred’s if that helps) Besides that it has nice moguls on it with plenty on snow. Hopefully a groomer will come across OL express and try to push some snow together to cover that breach. The snow on the Superstar trail pod is still holding strong.  Lots of snow on Lower Bittersweet, Skyelark and Superstar

I skied on powder skis again today. Great ride in the spring snow. I skied around a bit, bumps on Lower Wildfire were really good, Nice corn on Upper Bear Claw and Needles Eye, but getting down Panic Button was somewhat of a hassle. I think Skyelark, Bittersweet had some of the nicest, smoothest corn to be had today. I didn’t really ski too many bumps today as a I know there will be plenty of those to come soon enough.

Come up and get some. There still snow here!

Jonathan Celauro Jonathan Celauro started skiing when he was four and still hasn't quite figured it out yet. After college, he moved to Killington and now 16 yrs later, each comprised of 100+ day ski seasons, he's still trying to grasp the whole skiing concept. At this point he imagines his best option is to just go with the flow. "I still find myself dreaming of big mountain lines and deep powder snow." J.C. Shop Our Online Store
