Despite being told it wouldn’t happen until Wednesday, Killington dropped the ropes from TOP TO BOTTOM around 2:15 today. We have a whole bunch of smiling faces rolling through the shop as we speak!!!

A view of Killington's Rime on Sunday November 13th.55  and Sunny.  For those of you who have not met Jonathan yet, he is our new Online Guru.  He came on board this fall to help me out with running basinshopping.com, which will allow me to get back on the floor again.  I’m SUPER STOKED about that.  When you see Jonathan, you will probably recognize him as he has been in town for the last 16 years.

Seeing as how it’s Sunday, I am slinging Snowboard information downstairs, however my man Jonathan was happy to send down today’s snow report for me!  Thanks man!!! His report:  Soft, spring like conditions today with plenty of corn snow to be had.  Lift lines seem to be quite a bit shorter than yesterday, 5 minutes waits were the average.  The trails, like yesterday were still pretty empty, with little traffic on them.  Today was just a nice mellow, sunny day on the hill!

Sunny and High 30′s.  First things first is hats off to Killington.  They blew a ton of snow over the past day and a half, which made for amazing conditions.  Everyone coming in the shop today was pretty stoked on that!  I heard the bizarre thing was, although the lift lines were very long, the trails were pretty empty and you were really able to open it up on the hill.

The forecast is looking for a couple more warm days, followed by a nice stretch of cold weather.

Remember that clunky old, outdated basinski.com website? Well, out with the old and in with the new. Just like the start of a new ski/ride season, we here at Basin Sports have kicked off the season with a newly designed website! Like with the old basinski.com, Dave, or one of our staff members will be updating the ski report daily. We’ll also have five categories of blogging options that will be updated regularly, so bookmark us for that office lunchtime web surfing session! If you haven’t done so yet, like us on facebook or follow us on twitter for special deals we’re  running  for facebook friends or twitter followers.

As you can see we are still working out a few of the bugs with the pages under the Basin and Evolution, however we are working hard to have those resolved shortly.  Until then, enjoy the site pages that are available and please feel free to offer your feedback in our new comments section.  This is located under the post heading, “Welcome to the new BasinSki.com!”  Enjoy!!!
