Killington Snow Report For Saturday By KMAN
Thanks to 7” of natural snow this week, the Beast has come roaring back! Those who made the journey to ski / ride were rewarded with a Super Bowl weekend to remember!
Started at Bear for 8 am Opening Bell. We were blessed with sunshine to insulate our group from the -2 degrees and some occasional wind. Jumped on the Bear chair in the sun and with Outer Limits lite up with snowmaking, one half the first chair went to test the goods on OL. They had so much fun they did it twice. Another colleague did 7 runs on it!
My opener was a pristine groomed Wildfire top to bottom. Felt like I was at the Olympics for time trials. Bear Mountain was delightful. Bear Claw, Stash, Skyeburst, Viper Pit, Anti Venom all terrific snow surfaces.
To warm our fingers and toes, we over to the Skyeship via Panic Button/ Needles. The snow surface was truly amazing. We kept skiing there with runs on Cruise Control, Bitter, Highroad, Bitter T2B, and Skylark. The adventure seekers from Outer Limits then took the plunge on Ovation. And as Tony The Tiger would say…..it was GRRREAT!
We ended the morning adventures with a trip to the Peak for a “Hello Katie” for coffee, tea and hot chocolate and some other beverages. Hopefully, you got to ski /ride and play today at K.
