The Patagonia Men’s Quandary Pants are a multifunctional hiking pants made with 95% nylon (65% recycled)/5% spandex with 50+ UPF sun protection. This stretchy, water resistant pant is designed to be equally functional as a hiking pant and casual dress pant. The Patagonia Men’s Quandary Pant features plenty of storage with two front pockets, two rear and one flush leg pocket.
Recycled Nylon: Patagonia uses recycled nylon made from postindustrial waste fiber and discards from weaving mills and postconsumer fishing nets.
Fluorinated DWR: Patagonia’s durable water repellent (DWR) finish is a coating added to the fabric of our waterproof/weatherproof garments, which helps moisture bead up and roll off the outer fabric; this prevents soaking from the outside and the user becoming cold, clammy or wet, which could be life-threatening in extreme conditions.
Spandex: Spandex provides significant strength and elasticity and is fast drying. Spandex, also known as elastane or Lycra, is an elastic polymer (a type of plastic) first invented by DuPont in 1958. Spandex makes garments and trims stretchy, which allows for them to be form fitting, and provide freedom of movement.
UPF Treatment: UPF treatments increase the ability of a fabric to block the sun’s harmful UV radiation from reaching your skin. An ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) treatment applied to a fabric or garment increases the ability of the material to prevent the sun’s harmful UV radiation from reaching your skin. We can create that layer of protection by adding special chemistry to the yarn itself, by altering the weight/density of the fabric’s construction or by adding a topical chemical treatment to the fabric.
Men’s Bottoms Sizing Information
Measurements refer to body size, not garment dimensions, and are in inches, unless otherwise noted.* Inseam will vary depending on style; when lengths are offered, “short” is 30, “regular” is 32 and “long” is 34, unless otherwise noted.
Though each Patagonia product is designed and shaped specifically for its intended use, we can generalize our fit descriptions in four ways:
Formfitting: Conforms to the body’s contours.
Slim Fit: Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.
Regular Fit: Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers.
Relaxed Fit: Drapes loosely on the body.
PATAGONIA COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
Patagonia Core Values: Our values reflect those of a business started by a band of climbers and surfers, and the minimalist style they promoted.
Build the best product
Our criteria for the best product rests on function, repairability, and, foremost, durability. Among the most direct ways we can limit ecological impacts is with goods that last for generations or can be recycled so the materials in them remain in use. Making the best product matters for saving the planet.
Cause no unnecessary harm
We know that our business activity—from lighting stores to dyeing shirts—is part of the problem. We work steadily to change our business practices and share what we’ve learned. But we recognize that this is not enough. We seek not only to do less harm, but more good.
Use business to protect nature
The challenges we face as a society require leadership. Once we identify a problem, we act. We embrace risk and act to protect and restore the stability, integrity and beauty of the web of life.
Not bound by convention
Our success—and much of the fun—lies in developing new ways to do things
