Product Description
DAKINE TITAN GORE-TEX MITT – 2021 – PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The Dakine Titan Gore-Tex Mitt is a gauntlet style shell that’s water repellent and durable, and the Gore-Tex insert with Gore Warm adds warmth and waterproofing. A removable Storm Liner glove is touch screen compatible, so you can keep up with your crew without any of that pesky frostbite ruining your plans, and it’s a lot easier to dry gloves out after a long day, or give them a much needed cleaning. A Rubbertec palm means rugged durability in the most heavily-worn area of the mitt, while giving you a sure grip. Meanwhile the external water resistant zipper stash is ideal for securing your locker key and beer money, and it doubles as a heat pack pocket when you’re not running on liquid warmth.

ABOUT DAKINE
How we make the things we make
The best thing Dakine does is make great product, but even the best product has an impact on the environment. So, Dakine is always working to reduce that impact while still providing durability and functionality. Every year, their knowledge and material options improve, making it easier to approach product design with a variety of techniques that prioritize optimal performance and minimize impact on the environment.
Durability:
When building Dakine product, the first priority is durability. When gear is built to last, it’s less likely to end up in a landfill.
Environmentally Friendlier Materials:
They do their best to utilize materials that reduce the impact on the environment and the people working with them. Every year, Dakine builds more products considering the following friendlier options:
Recycled Materials:
Dakine has been using recycled PET materials for a long time and every year they strive to use more without sacrificing durability. PET polyester fibers come from post-consumer recycled plastic water bottles and get used in products from backpacks to apparel.
Bluesign®-Approved Materials:
The bluesign® system (www.bluesign.com) validates the entire supply chain of a material to ensure it uses the most environmentally friendly chemistry and processes. We utilize bluesign™-approved materials throughout our line.
DWR’s:
PFC’s are chemicals commonly found in Durable Water Repellent treatments (DWR) used on performance gear and apparel to make textiles water resistant. Some of these PFC’s have been shown to contaminate waterways so Dakine is working with it’s partners towards an increased use of PFC-free and PFC(ec)-free DWR finishes.
Factory Relations:
The health and well-being of the people that build Dakine’s products are critical. Our Code of Conduct Agreement and our Restricted Substances List (AAFA v19) ensure that all factory partners take employee safety, environment, and rights as seriously as Dakine employees do.
