The Norrona Women’s Lyngen Alpha90 Jacket is Norrona’s lightest midlayer perfectly designed for high intensity activities like ski touring. Polartec Alpha lightweight insulation and warm1 light fleece work together seamlessly in providing a protective, yet lightweight base layer. 

Polartec Alpha
Polartec Alpha starts with a highly efficient insulation fabric, which is based on the Polartec Thermal Pro High Loft technology platform. This technology is uniquely suited to create warmth without weight, and exceptional breathability, compressibility and dry times via high loft fibers in a low density knit. Current market synthetic insulations are not breathable enough to handle the ”go” phases of most backcountry pursuits. They are typically additional garments that must be carried for use during static period. Polartec® Alpha excels at providing comfort for users on the move.

Weighing under 200 grams/m², these are our lightest fleeces. Perfect as a mid-layer, or wear it instead of a jacket without compromising on insulation and breathability. These fleeces are among the best in the market. Their unique constructions and structures are perfect for different types of activities, as they trap warm air without stopping moisture transport. When used alone, the fabrics are open enough to allow air to circulate, making you feel comfortable in milder conditions. Under a shell they provide excellent insulation values.

Our craftsmanship
The craftsmanship of product development has always been an essential
foundation. From concept to creation, all products are designed in-house at
the Norrøna House right outside Oslo, Norway. Most of our products have a
three-year design process that enables hours and hours of testing,
adjustments, testing, and more adjustment before they're ready to go on
adventures with their new owners.
